Living Earth Big Scoop : TCEQ * Environmental Trade Fair & Conference 2015

The TCEQ Environmental Trade Fair & Conferenceis Texas’ premier environmental educationevent. This annual conference in our Capitol Citybrings together both the private and public sectorsfor two days oftraining and trade show exploration. Kicking off onMay 5at the Austin Convention Center, the TCEQ Environmental Conference engages attendees in educational tracks such as Permitting, Air and Water Quality, Environmental Regulations, Compliance & Enforcement, Waste Management: Municipal Solid Waste, Lab Practices and Data Reporting. Living Earthhas grown over our thirty years to nowoperate 17 TCEQ authorized MSW recyclingfacilities. Wespecializein source-separated organics (i.e. yard trimmings, wood waste, vegetativematerials) recycling, and have been participating in the TCEQ Environmental Trade Fair for so long; it’shard to remember which year we started. The venue gives us a chance to engage with abroad spectrumof professionals employed in the field of environmental services, public safety, public works, and more. This year Living Earth was the only organics recycler to exhibitat the Trade Fair. Our theme focused on Living Earth’s recycling partnerships with landfill owners/operators, municipalities, and commercial businesses; working together to keep organics out of local landfills. The Conference ended with the Texas Environmental Excellence Awards (TEEA) Banqueton the eveningof May 6. The Texas Environmental Excellence Awards celebrate the efforts ofcitizens, communities, businesses and organizations to preserve and protect the Texas Environment. It is impressive to see the diversity of projects happening in the Lone Star State to protect the environment.
