Pine Bark Mulch is removed from pine tree logs, then ground to the appropriate size of mulch. With a color ranging from bright reddish brown to dark reddish brown, it has a distinctive smell only associated with pine. Pine Bark Mulch is composed of different sized chips of pine bark. Since Pine Bark is lightweight and non-fibrous, it is not recommended for sloped areas as it has a tendency to float and/or wash away.
All trees and shrub areas shall be mulched immediately after planting. Trees and shrubs shall be mulched, as shown. Spread mulch in bed area, to a depth of three inches (3”), uniformly to cover all planting pits, keeping mulch away from plant stems.
